This page exists to collect one thing: an email address, so we can tell you when the practice opens and write to you until then. Here is exactly what happens to it.
What we collect
When you submit the form, these things are recorded:
- Your email address, as you typed it
- The date and time you submitted it
- A label saying which page it came from, currently "coming-soon"
- The language your browser asks for (English, Spanish or Yorùbá), so our emails arrive in it
- Your answer to one optional question, what brings you to Ifá, if you choose to give it
Nothing else. No name, no account, no profile. We do not ask for anything we do not need.
What we do with it
We send you a short welcome when you join, a few short letters in your first month about the practice (one about a week apart), word when the Power of Àṣẹ opens on mobile and the web, and after that, now and then, a short letter: what is new in the app, the Ifá calendar, Today's Word. If you answered the question, it helps us choose what to write about. If you joined when this page promised two notes only, those two are all you will get unless you ask for more.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your address with anyone, and we do not add you to any list you did not sign up for.
Where it is kept
Your address is kept in our list at Loops (loops.so), the email service that also sends our emails, from hello@mail.powerofase.com. Only we can open that list. Loops processes and stores the data on our behalf as our service provider, under its own privacy terms, on servers in the United States.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
There are none. This page sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. Our emails count no opens and track no clicks. Nobody is being followed around the internet on our account. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you will see a consent notice before anything is set.
What happens automatically
Two ordinary things happen when any web page loads, and you should know about both:
- Hosting. The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and reliability.
- Fonts. The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when they load. No cookie is set by this.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. If you joined for the two notes only, your address is deleted after the launch note unless you ask to stay.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; one click takes you off the list. Or write to hello@powerofase.com and we will, without argument or delay:
- Remove your address from the list
- Tell you exactly what we hold for you
- Correct it if it is wrong
One email is enough. You do not have to explain why.
Children
This page is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child's address reaches us, write to the address above and it will be removed.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that materially affects what we collect or who sees it will be stated plainly here before it takes effect.
Who we are
